Zephex parent company, Mexichem Fluor, has unveiled a brand new corporate identity, Koura, to reflect the company’s impressive global footprint and innovative and diverse nature of its businesses.
Koura’s world-leading HFA medical propellants range will remain under the highly recognised Zephex® brand name, as the company continues to develop, manufacture and market innovative, lower GWP products for supply across the pharmaceutical industry.
The company has a longstanding history within the pharmaceutical market, with Koura’s Zephex® propellants used in over 75% of the world’s metered-dose inhalers, helping over 100 million people across the globe with respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD.
Koura aspires to have a positive impact on the world, and the rebrand mirrors the company’s long term commitment to sustainability and the environment, its heritage, people, communities, safety and health. As an influential global company, Koura has already begun to ensure positive change, by taking action, in line with its values.
Koura has invested significantly across its global operations to streamline its offering, whilst in the UK, the company is also producing more environmentally friendly products across its range, with innovation and sustainability the main focus.
Koura is a proud member of the Orbia community; a group of companies working together to help tackle some of the world’s most complex challenges.
Simon Gardner, Pharma General Manager at Koura, said:
“As our industry evolves, we lead the way with a modern and progressive approach, striving to produce innovative products and provide excellent customer and technical support. Building on our 60-year heritage, we will continue to grow the company by exploring new opportunities, whilst ensuring we are dedicated to the values and commitments that shape our global brand.
“Our new name has its roots in the word ‘courage’ and reflects our identity as a company that takes a courageous approach to the safety and health of our people and the environments and communities where we operate, to innovation and to advancing life around the world.”
